These terms apply to your use of the Presto Math apps and the prestomath.com website ("Presto"). Presto is run by Allan Thöle, an individual trading as Presto Math ("we", "us"), of 170B Bucklands Beach Road, Bucklands Beach, Auckland 2012, New Zealand. By creating an account or using Presto you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Presto.
Presto is currently offered to families in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, South Africa and Singapore. It is not offered to families in Canada (including Quebec) at this time, so please don't create an account if you live there. We may invite families in other countries to try Presto, but we haven't set Presto up for the rules of those countries.
Presto is a practice tool for maths fluency. It doesn't replace a teacher, and we don't promise any particular result, grade or level of progress. The levels and questions are guided by primary and secondary maths curricula, but Presto is not tied to any single school's or country's syllabus. We work hard to make the questions and answers correct; if you spot a mistake, please tell us with the bug button in the app or by email and we'll fix it.
The optional Help question box is for parents and guardians, not children. It uses an AI model to answer from Presto's own help pages. Its answers can be false, incomplete or out of date, are general information only, are not advice, and should not be relied on without checking them against the help pages or with us. For anything about your account, a payment or your child's data, email support@prestomath.com. Please don't enter personal details.
On iPhone and iPad, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app.
Please don't:
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and we'll tell you why where we can.
The app, its questions, curriculum, artwork and the Presto name and logo belong to Allan Thöle or his licensors. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your household's own learning, for as long as these terms allow. Your child's practice history and progress remain yours; we use them only as described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete individual runs, or your whole account, in the parent settings at any time.
We provide Presto with reasonable care and skill. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses that weren't reasonably foreseeable, and our total liability to you for anything connected with Presto is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose. This does not limit rights you can't lawfully give up, including your rights under consumer laws such as New Zealand's Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Australian Consumer Law, or the consumer protection laws that apply where you live in South Africa or Singapore, or liability for anything that can't be excluded by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere, this doesn't take away any protection that the mandatory law of your own country gives you.
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email if a change is significant. If you keep using Presto after a change takes effect, you accept it; if you don't accept it, you can stop using Presto and delete your account.
